This month, we’re featuring Kay from Kay & Co.

About Kay

Kay is a brand designer for Kay & Co. She first started graphic design during her college years. Throughout 5+ years of her experience, she has been able to work with various types of clients and connect with other designers who share the same passion. Unique mongrams and pictorial submarks are her favorite kind of designs to create.

Kay has learned that part of a graphic designer’s success is from the type of products they use. Quality fonts, mockups, and stock photos can elevate each brand design. Each font makes a difference on the final designs.

Blanc Salvage’s gorgeous “After Five” font makes a statement in this feature design by creating a customized typography look. This font was used as the brand’s focal point—in the monogram, as well as the brand pattern.

Kay’s thoughts on After Five

I’m always excited when I see Blanc Salvage release one of her new fonts. Right when I saw this font “After Five”, it sparked a lot of inspiration just by seeing the style of this font. The ampersand caught my eye and gave me an idea to create a unique monogram with it.

The flower drawing in this mongoram logo was inspired by a flower given to me by my love. I thought these two elements would be perfect to use in a French wedding design.

“After Five” is the perfect font when you need a simple, easy-to-read font with a beautiful, unique touch. This is my new go-to with it’s elegant, simple, but also stylish style. This font will give uniqueness to any design.

If you’re ever looking for a new font to be inspired by, Blanc Salvage has so many beautiful fonts to choose from that will level up your project!

The ampersand is one of my favorite glyphs in the typeface, and seeing how excited Kay was to incorporate it into her design made my heart flutter. It’s a striking element for elegant brands—exactly what my intent was and perfectly infused into a beautiful wedding design.
