About Ingrid

Meet Ingrid Urena, the creative mind behind Penguin Designing. Based in sunny San Diego, California, Ingrid’s design journey began at the age of 15. By 18, she had already landed her first contract for TV marketing graphics – talk about an early start! But it was in 2009 that Ingrid officially launched Penguin Designing.

In 2016, she niched down to focus specifically on serving coaches and creatives, a decision that has shaped her business into the studio it is today. Her clients benefit from her extensive expertise as an official Showit Design Partner and Shopify partner.

Ingrid’ specialty lies in crafting strategy-led brands and Showit websites for coaches and creative small business owners. Her core services include custom brand and web design, Showit shop design, and Showit membership creation.

She’s also a speaker and educator, sharing her knowledge through courses like “WooCommerce Unleashed” and her podcast “The Inspired Brew.” Ingrid’s work has been featured in multiple summits, podcasts, Showit’s Spark Book, Showit’s blog, and Flodesk University.

“Blanc Salváge fonts bring a well-rounded freshness and elegance that immediately called for using them on Atelier21 Co’s rebrand! Eleven Eleven particularly felt like the perfect font since it has a modern look and it’s incredibly adaptable. I love that it has multiple weights for using across the copy with emphasis and ease of having as long text areas plus all the bigger ‘attention calling’ needs. For that particular brand, it was paired with Coastal Grey and it’s a to-die-for combination!! The elegance and fem touches of Coastal Grey with the modern look of Eleven Eleven? Absolutely elevated the brand!!”
