About Alouette

I’m Alouette, founder and creative director of Lark Brand Studio, where strategy flirts with sorcery and design becomes a full-blown act of rebellion.

To me, branding is transformation with lipstick and lightning. When a woman finally feels seen in her brand – when her visuals, voice, and vision lock into place – something electric happens. Confidence skyrockets. Boundaries dissolve. And suddenly, she’s not chasing opportunities anymore; they’re chasing her.

I’m a self-taught designer with a love for storytelling and strategy, which basically means I built this empire off intuition, grit, and zero patience for “playing it safe.” I design for women who know they’re meant for more, the ones ready to stop blending in and start building empires with edge.

My work is a love letter to alignment: part strategy, part seduction. Every colour, font, and phrase is chosen to move your audience and you into that sweet spot where confidence meets conversion.

Because your brand isn’t just how you’re seen. It’s how you show up. And when you show up like you mean it? Everything, your clients, your income, your influence, starts to expand.

When I’m not deep in a brand strategy or tweaking logos like my life depends on it, you’ll find me chasing sea air along the Devon coast, dabbling in learning font design, or deep in a romantasy world somewhere between dragons, divine feminine energy, and my next big idea – snack in hand and middle finger raised to mediocrity.

Alouette’s thoughts on La Roue

La Roue was one of the first fonts I ever bought from Stacy, and honestly…It was love at first serif. The kind of font that makes you drool a little (don’t lie, we’ve all been there). 

There’s just something about those tall, elegant lines and perfectly indulgent curves that hit me right in the designer feels. It’s got this romantic edge with bite, soft in tone, but powerful in presence, like the visual equivalent of a slow-burn novel you can’t put down.

I own more fonts than handbags and shoes combined, but La Roue? She’s a forever favourite. Seductive in all the right ways, unapologetically feminine yet bold enough to command the room. The new italics? To. Die. For. They move like poetry in motion – delicate, emotional, and just the right amount of drama.

It’s a typeface that doesn’t just speak, it seduces. And as a designer who lives for storytelling through form, that’s my kind of love language.



What’s your biggest struggle when picking a font?

Honestly? It’s finding the one. That elusive, can’t-get-you-out-of-my-head font that looks exactly like the version living rent-free in my imagination. Every designer knows the struggle – hours (okay, days) lost down the rabbit hole of type specimens, convinced the perfect match is just one scroll away.

It’s equal parts obsession and art form. Maybe that’s why I’ve started learning to design my own, because sometimes the font of your dreams doesn’t exist yet… so you make her yourself.

How did using Blanc Salváge fonts help you?

Stacy’s fonts are pure creative fuel. She’s one of those dreamy designers who just gets it, the balance between edge and elegance, softness and strength. Her typefaces have this rare ability to slip perfectly into whatever story I’m telling, whether it’s for a bold rebrand or a quietly confident visual identity.

Beyond her designs being to die for, Stacy herself is an absolute gem, always generous with her knowledge, quick to answer my nerdy font questions, and consistently creating collections that feel fresh, feminine, and full of character. And I LOVE reading the stories that come with her creations. 

As someone who loves to push boundaries and bring depth to every brand, her fonts give me the perfect playground. They carry that extra bit of soul, the kind that makes a design not just look good, but feel alive.

How was it working with Stacy?

Magic. Pure, unfiltered magic. I’ve been obsessed from the start, Stacy’s creativity, her kindness, her absolute goddess-level talent. Collaborating with her has been such a ride; it felt like stepping into someone else’s dream world and finding my own vision reflected right back at me.

I’ll admit, I worried my vibe might be a little too sultry compared to her other Design Diaries – but she quickly reminded me she loves a little darkness too (kindred spirits, clearly). It’s been such a fun, fluid, creatively charged experience, and I’m already manifesting the day we get to collab on a font together once I’m fully trained.
