About Jennifer

Hey! I’m Jennifer, the creative behind Jennifer Carfora Designs.

I’m a White Label Brand Designer and Showit Design Partner who specializes in supporting overloaded designers and creative entrepreneurs with custom brand designs and Showit websites. My goal is simple: to help fellow designers when they’re overwhelmed and need reliable backup, so they can focus on what they do best.

When I’m not designing, you’ll find me juggling life as a mom of three boys, navigating military spouse adventures, perfecting my sourdough starter, chatting with my backyard chickens (yes, they’re surprisingly good listeners!), and kicking it on the kickball field.

Jennifer’s thoughts on The One (Light)

When I read about The One’s inspiration – a true love story about two people finding their way back to each other – I knew this editorial serif had something special. After using it for a fine jewelry brand identity, it absolutely delivered.

For this collaboration with Blanc Salvage, I needed a font that conveyed timeless elegance and romance. The One struck the perfect balance between classic and contemporary without feeling overly decorative or fussy.

What made it work so well:

The editorial serif style gives it that high-end magazine feel while maintaining sophistication. It’s versatile enough to work as a primary headline font and elevated body text. What really impressed me was how well it performed across different applications – from business cards to digital layouts, it kept its elegance and readability.

The romantic inspiration isn’t just marketing fluff – you can actually feel it in the design. It brings warmth to luxury branding that could otherwise feel cold.

Bottom line: If you need timeless, romantic, or luxurious vibes, The One is worth considering. It’s one of those fonts that does the heavy lifting for you, bringing instant sophistication to your designs.

What’s your biggest struggle when picking a font?

My biggest struggle when picking fonts? Not getting completely lost in the possibilities!

I’m such a typography nerd that I can spend hours going down rabbit holes, especially when I find a font family with amazing character variations. I’ll start with one weight and then suddenly I’m exploring every single style, thinking about all the ways I could manipulate and layer them.

The real challenge is knowing when to stop looking and commit to the perfect choice. There are so many incredible fonts out there, and I always worry I might find something even better if I keep searching. But I’ve learned that sometimes you just have to trust your instincts and go with the font that makes you excited to start designing.

Plus, once I start manipulating typography and making it my own, that’s when the real magic happens anyway!

How did using Blanc Salváge fonts help you?

Using Blanc Salváge fonts was honestly a game-changer for this passion project!

The One font gave me the perfect foundation to build on. What I love about working with these fonts is that they already have so much character and sophistication built in, but they’re also incredibly flexible for manipulation. I didn’t have to fight against the typeface to get the look I wanted – it practically invited me to play with it.

The romantic inspiration behind The One was exactly what I needed for the fine jewelry brand brief. Instead of spending hours trying to force a different font to feel romantic and timeless, I had a typeface that naturally embodied those qualities. It saved me so much time in the concept phase because I could focus on the creative manipulation rather than hunting for the right starting point.

Plus, having access to a font with such a thoughtful backstory made it easier to sell the concept.. When you can explain that the typography choice isn’t just aesthetic but also meaningful, it elevates the entire brand story.
